Birches and Bluebells

Birches and Bluebells is a special place, set on 1.5 acres , with breath-taking views, nestled into a forest overlooking the harbour at Mountshannon, Co Clare. Shannon Airport is a 45 minute drive, Ennis 40 minutes and Galway just over an hour. It is located 500 metres from the award winning Mountshannon village, where fishing on the largest Shannon lake, Lough Derg, is a major attraction. 50 metres away is the East Clare Way, a moderate/easy walking route which spans the East Clare area.

The house is architect designed to suit the needs of writers and creative artists. Writers in residence enjoy en-suite bedrooms, with direct access to a private patio. A full catering service is offered, featuring fish and locally sourced fresh meat, as well as home-grown herbs and salads in season.

The entire house is occasionally available for short-term letting.
